With music's biggest night happening tomorrow, it's truly anyone's game this year. With a historic night last year, it can be made yet again if things go in favor of Kendrick Lamar. If he wins four of his nine categories tomorrow, he can break Jay-Z's record as the rapper with the most Grammys, which would be an incredible achievement at just 38 years old. Can he also finally get his Album of the Year after each of his albums (plus a compilation album) has been nominated for the biggest award of the night?

Who else can make history? Bad Bunny could be the first-ever artist to win Album of the Year for a fully non-English album. The inaugural Best Album Cover will be presented this year, and it's really tough to pick the best one. An animated K-pop girl group has a really good chance of winning one of the big four awards of the night as well (and it would be well-deserved). Anything could happen!

See below for my predictions of who should, will, and could win at tomorrow's Grammys (for select categories).

Updated February 1st: Correct predictions highlighted

Album of the Year

Who Should Win
Who Will Win
Who Could Win
gnx by Kendrick Lamar
DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS by Bad Bunny
MAYHEM by Lady Gaga
I think it's finally K-Dot's time. He was able to keep five songs from gnx extremely relevant throughout all of 2025, even though it was released in November of 2024, and it was a pop cultural phenomenon. Then again, a similar argument could be said about 2017's DAMN., but look what happened then (it lost out to Bruno Mars' 24K Magic). Bad Bunny definitely has the momentum to squash all of his hopes and take home the big prize, and he'd rightfully earn it, but Kendrick had a monster of a year, which I strongly feel edges out Benito's just by a hair.

Gaga could also swoop in and surprise us all. After her mind-blowing Coachella performance that subsequently kicked off a sell-out tour, her strongest album in a very long time, MAYHEM, could spoil it.

Record of the Year

Who Should Win
Who Will Win
Who Could Win
"luther" by Kendrick Lamar w/ SZA
"luther" by Kendrick Lamar w/ SZA
"Abracadabra" by Lady Gaga
"luther" was inescapable in 2025, and for good reason. The production, melody, engineering, and songwriting fell into place to create a certified hit. Going back-to-back in this category for Kendrick would be legendary.

Song of the Year

Who Should Win
Who Will Win
Who Could Win
"Golden [From "KPop Demon Hunters"]" by HUNTR/X (EJAE, Audrey Nuna & REI AMI)
"Golden [From "KPop Demon Hunters"]" by HUNTR/X (EJAE, Audrey Nuna & REI AMI)
"luther" by Kendrick Lamar w/ SZA
I can't wait for a fictional girl group to win this award. An Asian one at that. Major kudos to EJAE, Audrey Nuna, REI AMI, and the rest of the contributing songwriters (Park Hong Jun, Joong Gyu Kwak, Yu Han Lee, Hee Dong Nam, Jeong Hoon Seo & Mark Sonnenblick) for penning a song that went beyond a children's movie soundtrack. That's history.

Best New Artist

Who Should Win
Who Will Win
Who Could Win
Olivia Dean
Olivia Dean
Leon Thomas / Lola Young
Olivia Dean had a very solid, consistent, successful year, and an album that was critically acclaimed. This award is hers to lose. The only way I see this tipping to Leon Thomas' favor is his nod in the Album of the Year category. Lola Young also has a shot due to her strong songwriting ability, and "Messy" was a banger, but she actively avoided the spotlight (for mental health reasons), which could hurt her chances, but that's ok!

Producer of the Year, Non-Classical

Who Should Win
Who Will Win
Who Could Win
Sounwave
Cirkut
Dijon
Sounwave produced all of gnx. That's award-worthy in my book. However, Cirkut produced Gaga's MAYHEM, "APT.", and select tracks for The Weeknd, Coco Jones, and Ed Sheeran. Then there's Dijon, whose Baby! was excellent, and he also produced heavily on Justin Bieber's SWAG, including the hits "DAISIES" and "YUKON."

Songwriter of the Year, Non-Classical

Who Should Win
Who Will Win
Who Could Win
Amy Allen
Amy Allen
Tobias Jesso Jr.
Many times throughout the year, I will randomly check song credits, and in many of those cases, Amy Allen's name is there. ROSÉ, JENNIE, Dua Lipa, Sabrina Carpenter, Kacey Musgraves, Shaboozey. She's worked with some of your favorites who have had massive hits in 2025. I don't see anyone else winning here.

On the other hand, Tobias Jesso Jr. has also made an impression, though not as large. Olivia Dean's "Man I Need" was everywhere, but it's hard to compete with the other tracks that Allen has penned.

Best Album Cover

Who Should Win
Who Will Win
Who Could Win
CHROMAKOPIA by Tyler, The Creator
DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS by Bad Bunny
moisturizer by Wet Leg
Tyler's mask and pose are now iconic, and the lighting is perfection. It's very commanding and is a great depiction of what type of character and world-building Tyler has built with his own two hands. However, Bad Bunny's DtMF cover, though it looks like nothing at first glance, actually tells a story. Especially of Puerto Rico and its deep culture.

private music by Deftones

NEVER ENOUGH was my favorite album of 2025, and for good reason. I would love the Baltimore band to get some love here and not just for their singles.

Best Alternative Music Performance

Who Should Win

Who Could Win
"mangetout" by Wet Leg
"mangetout" by Wet Leg
"Parachute" by Hayley Williams
Wet Leg won this award the last time they were nominated in this category, and I think they'll win it again. "mangetout" is an excellent song and stands out from the other nominees.

Ego Death at a Bachelorette Party by Hayley Williams
Ego Death at a Bachelorette Party by Hayley Williams
DON'T TAP THE GLASS by Typer, The Creator
If Hayley gets one Grammy tomorrow night, it should be this one. Though it'd be kind of awesome if Tyler got it instead for his other album and not CHROMAKOPIA.

"Folded" was not only the best R&B song of 2025, but it was also one of the best songs of the year. There's no way Kehlani loses here.
