A master of melancholic melodies, Blondshell balances her indie/alternative rock sound with confessional lyrics. Her excellent eponymous debut album, released in 2023, immediately put her on my radar, and she has shown no signs of slowing down since. Blondshell's talents lie in her versatility as a musician. One minute she's delivering raw vocals and loud guitars, and the next she's singing much quieter and playing softer melodies.

Origin: Copenhagen, Denmark

Genre / Subgenres: Electronic / Dancepop, Indie rock, Experimental

It's hard to categorize WhoMadeWho into a single genre because they fit into so many musical spaces. Like, I'm not even sure if "electronic" is really the primary genre to categorize them as. They can adapt to rock, jazz, funk, disco, etc. You name it, they'll figure it out and make it sound phenomenal. Since their debut over 20 years ago, they've gone on to collaborate and play alongside some of the biggest names in electronic music, such as Daft Punk, Justice, and LCD Soundsystem.
