GENESI

Origin: Italy
Genre / Subgenres: Electronic / Tech house, Melodic house, Melodic techno

GENESI has only been on the scene for a few years but has already achieved widespread recognition with his track "Everything You Have Done", which has over 83 million streams on Spotify alone, just 3 years after its release. The single was GENESI's first #1 on Beatport and immediately became a staple in Ibiza and other global club sets. His sound is rooted in tech house, providing rolling basslines, short n' sticky vocals, and borrowing synth progressions from melodic techno. GENESI is the type of DJ who prioritizes the dance floor and vibe over visuals, so get ready to sweat.

Performing: Saturday

Fujii Kaze

Origin: Satoshō, Okayama, Japan
Genre / Subgenres: Pop / J-Pop, Soul, Jazz-pop

At just 12 years old, Fujii Kaze began uploading videos of himself playing piano and singing covers of various songs to YouTube, which have amassed over 30 million views. Being the disciplined student he is, though, he stopped his uploads in high school to focus on his musical studies and earned his diploma before making more noise on the internet in 2019.

Since then, Fujii has been on an upward trajectory like no other, and that's all thanks in part to his soulful voice, expressive piano playing, and heavy Western influence that's infused into his signature sound. He mainly sings in Japanese, but his English is just as good (just give his most recent album, Prema, a listen). His music is a breath of fresh air, and he'll bring nothing but sunshine to the desert.

Performing: Saturday
Stage Confirmation: Gobi
For Fans of: Vaundy, H.E.R., Stevie Wonder
Key Tracks: Shinunoga E-Wa / Matsuri / Prema
Rating: ★★★★½
Ratings are on a 5-star scale
