Carlita x Josh Baker
Origin: Istanbul, Turkey 🇹🇷 / Manchester, England, UK 🇬🇧
Genre / Subgenres: Electronic / House, Melodic techno, Tech-house

Carlita has a background in classical music and was so good at playing multiple instruments that she made it to the semi-finals on Turkey's Got Talent when she was just 12 years old. However, when she got to Northeastern University in Boston, she discovered DJing and never looked back, but still very obviously holds on to her musicality. Josh Baker is a born-and-bred British DJ who got his start in Manchester's tight-knit underground scene, where his sound is deeply rooted. Before making his way to festival stages, he was persistent in spinning vinyl records and playing small nightclubs for hours on end.
Both Carlita fit in the house genre, but are quick to genre-blend and will have no issue combining her downtempo, melodic house with his UK and deep tech sounds. This b2b pairing makes a whole lot of sense given their musical backgrounds, which will set them up for a groove-first, rhythmic, perfectly paced set in the Yuma tent.

GIVÄ’ON
Origin: Long Beach, California, USA 🇺🇸
Genre / Subgenres: R&B / Contemporary R&B, Neo soul

100 out of 100 times, I could point out when GIVÄ’ON is crooning on a track. That's how distinct this man's baritone singing voice is. It's so rich and velvety, which is a rarity in contemporary R&B. Still, he studied music history. He expressed a fascination with Frank Sinatra and Barry White's singing voices through an education program with the Grammy Museum in Los Angeles, so it makes sense that he sounds the way that he does. Though he sounds so smooth, his lyrical content is often filled with heartbreak, longing, and introspection, but delivered with such a calm demeanor that it's almost conversational and intimate.
Performing: Saturday
