fakemink started messing around with music production at the age of 10 and started rapping not long after that. He self-released a bunch of experimental tracks online that gained traction on platforms such as Soundcloud and TikTok. In the past year, his Internet-era single "Easter Pink" went viral and received acclaim from multiple media outlets like Pitchfork, one of the hardest-to-impress publications out there. He's since been brought out at Drake's Wireless Festival and Playboi Carti's tour, where he's showcased his "luxurious and dirty" music (his words, not mine). Gritty, raw, and nostalgic, fakemink will get at least a head bob out of you.

His name may be on the last line of the lineup poster, but he's already getting the attention all over the internet with his high-energy transitions that make the crowds go wild. His bootlegs and unofficial edits were shared amongst the DJ community, and when promoters caught wind of crowd reactions to his sets, Riordan was booked and busy. His sound is dark, yet playful. Old school, yet modern. Contains chunky basslines but has tight drum patterns. All of it is an ode to classic UK rave, and the payoff is momentous.
