Cachirula & Loojan

Origin: Buenos Aires, Argentina
Genre / Subgenres: Latin / Latin club, Global club, Experimental dance

The Argentinian duo is a product of late-night club culture in the nation's capital, and their music is a reflection of its openness to genre chaos, such as Latin rhythms, Euro club music, meme culture, and experimental electronic. They aim to be unserious in a serious world to lighten the mood. Their use of bouncy basslines, kitschy synths, and club-ready tempos forms deliberate, expressive bangers that feel like the pair is winking at you from the DJ booth.

Performing: Friday
Stage Prediction: Gobi
For Fans of: El Malilla, Yeri Mua, Bellakath
Rating: ★★★

Labrinth

Origin: Hackney, London, England
Genre / Subgenres: Pop / Alternative R&B, Art pop, Electronic, Soul

It's challenging to put Labrinth into a box because he can truly do it all. He can sing, write, and produce different types of music. Not only for himself, but for countless others, including Noah Cyrus, Rihanna, Sia, The Weeknd, Zendaya, and Beyoncé. Mostly known for his operatic and maximalist sound, it's nearly a cinematic experience without having the visual aid. In fact, his music was so resonant that he was eventually tapped to score HBO's Euphoria and was finally able to pair scenes to his sounds. The TV show became a cultural phenomenon, which then led to a younger audience discovering who Labrinth was, as both a composer and a producer/musician. Labrinth is as fearless as they come, and he leans into the melodrama when it comes to putting on a show. Literally.

Performing: Saturday
Stage Prediction: Outdoor Theatre
For Fans of: James Blake, Moses Sumney, Sampha
Rating: ★★★★½
Ratings are on a 5-star scale
