BINI
Origin: Manila, Philippines
Genre / Subgenres: Pop / P-pop, Bubblegum pop

BINI is the first-ever P-pop group to be booked at Coachella, but that's not the only first these eight girls have written into the history books. They are also the first Filipino act to top the Spotify Philippines Daily Top Artists chart (surpassing global acts with 1.4 million monthly listeners), the first Filipino act to win Best Asia Act at the MTV Europe Music Awards, and the first Filipino pop act to perform at KCON in Los Angeles.
The octet was formed on the TV show Star Hunt Academy but trained for three grueling years before making their debut in 2021. In a few short years, the Philippines fully embraced them and crowned them the "Nation's Girl Group" for their cultural impact. Their signature sound is a blend of bright, summery bubblegum pop with a touch of R&B and hip-hop. Layered on top of that are uplifting, youthful, and empowering lyrics. In a market that's been consistently dominated by K-pop and J-pop, they've able to stand out by being authentic, embodying the modern Filipina, and staying true to their culture.
