Hamdi

Origin: Oxford, England, UK 🇬🇧
Genre / Subgenres: Electronic / Deep house, Melodic house, Indie dance

Unlike yesterday's Subtronics, Hamdi's UK dubstep isn't as aggressive, has low-end impact, and is closer in style to garage. His blends make his music more accessible and easier to digest, especially on first listen, creating a great experience overall. Hamdi didn't rely on the radio or the mainstream to gain popularity. It was a more grassroots approach, banking on support from other DJs to put him on during their sets, waiting for his tracks to become staples in the dubstep and bassline scenes in the UK. Now that that's happened, Hamdi is ready to leave a big footprint in the US.

Performing: Friday
Stage Prediction: Sahara
For Fans of: Distinct Motive, Sammy Virji, MPH
Rating: ★★★★½

Yamagucci

Origin: Tel Aviv, Israel 🇮🇱
Genre / Subgenres: Electronic / Deep house, Melodic house, Indie dance

The last, last-name-on-the-lineup artist is none other than Yamagucci. A new, up-and-coming DJ who's currently exploding in the underground scene in Tel Aviv, he's becoming more recognizable with each new track. To get to where he is now, releases on multiple high-profile labels propelled him into the international electronic stratosphere and claimed the number one spot on Beatport more than once. His groove-driven house music emphasizes organic textures and will lock you into a rhythm you'll want to stay immersed in. He sticks to funky basslines and creates warm atmospheres to give the listener the most pleasant listening experience. He gets pretty deep and keeps it patiently paced, as his goal is to guide you through his realm rather than shove you right into it.

Performing: Saturday
Stage Confirmation: Yuma*
For Fans of: Moscoman, Emanuel Satie, OMRI.
Rating: ★★★½

*Yuma lineup now available via Coachella's social media accounts
Ratings are on a 5-star scale
