Febuary

Origin: Las Vegas, Nevada, USA 🇺🇸
Genre / Subgenres: Rock / Screamo, Skrags, Emo

Look, I grew up when screamo was at its peak, but I just never got into it, and I don't think I'm about to start, unfortunately. I understand that there's a niche for everyone, and I'm sure Febuary will be someone's comically large cup of tea, but it wasn't mine. I commend the band for being part of this emo revival happening in real time and for actively keeping the artform alive. I will also say that their lyricism is not the worst; however, the shrieks and cracked vocals are unsettling, though I know that it's all 100% intentional. Maybe they're for you, just not entirely for this guy.

Performing: Friday
Stage Prediction: Sonora*
For Fans of: Foxtails, Funeral Diner, Vs Self
Rating: ★★

Dijon

Origin: Ellicott City, Maryland, USA 🇺🇸
Genre / Subgenres: R&B / Alternative R&B, Neo-soul, Americana

No, he's not related to Mustard the DJ, but I do think they should link up immediately and release a collaboration named "Dijon Mustard." The Maryland native has flown under the radar over the past few years, but has swiftly become the go-to collaborator behind the scenes, which earned him a nomination for Producer of the Year (non-classical) at this year's Grammy Awards, mainly for his contributions to Justin Bieber's comeback album, SWAG.

He's also been tapped by deeply introspective artists such as Bon Iver and Mk.gee to contribute his input to their projects. On top of that, he released one of the best albums of 2025, Baby, which received critical acclaim and drew comparisons to Frank Ocean, which is immediately obvious upon first listen. He embraces imperfection, shows off his rough edges, and takes emotional risks when he sings in his raspy voice, and you can't help but empathize. He sounds so fragile, and it's incredibly moving. You end up stuck in an endless loop of his tracks to get more of his stories, which are so grounded, human, and vulnerable.

Performing: Friday
Stage Prediction: Mojave
For Fans of: Frank Ocean, Mk.gee, Omar Apollo
Key Tracks: The Dress / Yamaha / Another Baby!
Rating: ★★★★½
Ratings are on a 5-star scale
